We are currently seeking an experienced Aggregates and Environment Coordinator to work full time within our Edmonton Operation. Reporting to the Aggregates and Environment Manager, this positions will provide a wide variety of support within both the office and field.
  • Preparation of environmental and related permit applications, reviews, and maintaining compliance.
  • Complete spill reporting, response plans, and cleanup coordination.  
  • Assist with estimates and executions for aggregate operations.
  • Coordinate and prepare leases and agreements with landowners.
  • Ensure compliance and complete site inspections within applicable acts eg. Water Act, Code of Practice for Pits, Code of Practice for Asphalt Plants
  • Completion and submission of periodic, monthly and annual reports.
  • Utilize drone services for mapping and volumetric.
  • Actively participate in industry groups like the ASGA and ARHCA
  • Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in environmental consulting or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in conservation and reclamation planning.
  • Experience with spill cleanup and response would be considered an asset.
  • Class 5 Drivers License.     
  • Operation of ATV in remote locations.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Previous estimating experience is an asset.
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
  • Must comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
  • Availability to travel both out-of-town and remote locations.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required.
