We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic, year-round Administrative Assistant, to work full-time for our Edmonton Office.

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Division Manager, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing total administrative support to Division Management, on a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enter and set up job and truck information, and enter data received from haul summaries and haul cards into the tracking software.
  • Prepare various spreadsheets in Excel, showing each truck and their daily tonnage. Conduct further calculations on daily and monthly totals.
  • Draft, maintain, update and provide supervisors with information on hired drivers and trucks, and ensure that the drivers are registered with the Alberta Sand and Gravel Association.
  • Complete EPS Summaries in Excel spreadsheets, by entering burner fuel and AC oil amounts from various company reports and daily tonnages and results from lot paving reports from both the organization and the Engineer.
  • Track and monitor the Fatigue Management statistics of the Divisions’ hourly, employees, ensuring consistency and continuity when employees move to different jobs.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize various letters, reports, raw data or other various forms of documentation.
  • Maintain routine clerical records, logs and data and compile routine reports.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
  • Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.
  • Other Administrative/Clerical duties as required.
 
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Road construction industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year office related experience in an administrative or clerical role required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Work is performed in an indoor setting.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 10 LBS on a regular basis.
